WHO WILL WIN THIS YEAR?

VU Amsterdam is buzzing with innovative ideas, ideas that can grow into successful companies. From this festive year – in which the VU is celebrating its 140th birthday – we are more than ever encouraging our enterprising students, alumni and (former) PhD students. With the Kuyper Challenge 2021, we are taking a new step towards the VU as a breeding ground for startups and we are realizing what has been in our DNA for 140 years. Because enterprising founder Abraham Kuyper started not only a university, but also a newspaper, a new religion and the first Dutch political party.
